Thanks to the support of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, Saint Martin is part of the College Completion Initiative. The innovative, evidence-based program will further equip Saint Martin students with the essential knowledge and skills to successfully enroll and graduate from college with a Bachelor’s degree.
The program is structured around a rigorous college completion framework comprised of three elements:
1. Senior year and summer transition support
2. Alumni data collection, management and reporting through the Dell Scholar Administrative and Alumni portals
3. Alumni outreach, interventions and mentorship
According to the National Student Clearinghouse, for the classes of 2008-2012, 90% of Cristo Rey Network graduates matriculated into college, and, of those students from the classes of 2008-2010, 90% persisted into their sophomore year. While these rates far exceed their peers, the College Completion Initiative aims to increase the percentage of alumni successfully transferring from 2-year to 4-year colleges by 30% and increase six-year BA college completion rates by 10%.
